Our Principal

Ms. Natalie Legra

Welcome to Shamrock Gardens Elementary, home of Lucky the Dragon! My name is Natalie Legra, and I am honored to serve as the proud principal of this extraordinary school community.

I began my teaching career in 2009 and have had the privilege of teaching grades K–12 across public, private, and charter schools. I have also guest taught Spanish and ESL at the college and university level, as well as worked in marketing, public relations, project management, and international business. Over the course of my career, I have served as a curriculum writer, Spanish teacher, ESL teacher, tutor, mentor, student advisor, department chair, Dean of Students, and Assistant Principal. Each of these roles has strengthened my belief that all students deserve a joyful, rigorous, and equitable education—one that values both academic excellence and social-emotional growth.

I hold a B.A. in Communications and Public Relations, a B.A. in Spanish and Translation Studies, and a Master of Arts in Teaching with certification in Foreign Language Education. I also earned a Post-Graduate Certificate in School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

At Shamrock Gardens, our mission is to cultivate a school environment where every student is known, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential. Through our school-wide initiative, Lucky’s Learning Quest, students set personal goals, celebrate growth, and take ownership of their learning while being supported by an exceptional team of educators and families.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, finding a good deal at Homegoods, or sipping on a strong cup of cuban coffee.

It is truly a privilege to lead the students, staff, and families of Shamrock Gardens Elementary. Together, we are growing something special—one dragon scale at a time!
